Stem Cell Research Offers Promising Technology Print E-mail
Adult stem cell and embryonic research has been taking the world by storm. It seems that no country is to be left out of the race to research and develop promising technologies through the use of both embryonic and non-embryonic stem cells. From one end of the globe to the other, countries are researching and marketing to gain funding for such stem cell research. In recent months, it has been accepted by most members of the scientific and medical communities that stem cells may have the potential to repair not only tissues, but the ability to grow into organs as well. In addition, cell research may very well lead to treatments and cures of neurodegenerative disease, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal diseases.
Various technologies have been researched and developed, including genome expression analysis and functional genomic profiling. Further studies into the creation and development of DNA and RNA, as well as chemical genomics, proteomics, and mass spectrometry are also being explored. The basic thrust of most studies engaged in stem cell research has been to devise a way to help such stem cells differentiate into the desired type of tissue that is required.

Technologies have begun to create advanced applications in stem cell biology that not only help to pursue understanding of the differentiation process, but abilities to reprogram and self renew various organisms. From Ireland to Japan, from the United States to Germany and beyond, scientists and researchers are united in a global cause to understand stem cell potential.
