Stem Cell Technology: First Neurons Created From ALS Patient's Skin Cells

Scientists from Harvard and Columbia universities in the US have formed patient-specific stem cells from adults with motor neurone disease, the first time such cells have been made for any disorder of the nervous system. It is an important step towards understanding and then treating currently incurable diseases.
