Smart Cells Services
Smart Cells International provides a number of different service packages.
These may be dependant on your hospital's policy on private umbilical cord stem cell collection, whether you have a home birth, and whether you require the services of a Smart Cells Phlebotomist to perform the collection for you. Please see information below for the prices for each service.
All of our price plans include:
- Your collection kit for Cord Blood and umbilical Cord Tissue (if requested)
- All necessary testing and processing of your baby’s Cord Blood and Cord Tissue
- Maternal blood tests
- Courier fees to deliver your kit and return the samples to our laboratory - There may be an additional fee for weekend kit collections, clients who live in a remote area and to clients outside of the UK (Please discuss with a member of our team)

Prices
Breakdown of our fees:
Cord Blood Stem Cell Storage
- An initial booking fee of £195 is payable when you place your order.
- Our testing and processing fee is £900 and our 25 year storage fee is £600. This will become payable after we have processed and stored your baby’s Cord Blood sample.
Cord Tissue Stem Cell Storage
- An initial booking fee of £100 is payable when you place your order.
- Our processing & 25 year storage fee is £350. This will become payable after we have processed and stored your baby's Cord Tissue sample.
Phlebotomy Services
Should you require a phlebotomist to collect your Cord Blood and Cord Tissue sample then Smart Cells will arrange this for you.
- An initial booking fee of £100 is payable when you place your order.
- Our Phlebotomist service fee is £200. This will become payable after we have processed and stored your baby's stem cell samples.
