  • Higher dopamine levels
  • Better survival of dopamine-producing nerve cells
  • Reduced inflammation within the brain

What About Clinical Trials?

Research is in its early stages, but progress is encouraging.

Clinical trials are currently investigating stem cell therapies for Parkinson’s disease in several countries, including China, Jordan, Indonesia, and Antigua and Barbuda. Some of these studies are specifically evaluating umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells.
