    • I regularly discuss newborn stem cell storage with my patients

      My name is Dr Gergana Peeva, and I am a high-risk obstetrician. Over the course of my career, I have supported more than 5,000 women and couples through one of the most important journeys of their lives: pregnancy. I lead a clinic dedicated to holistic maternity care, where my focus is on safe, evidence-based medicine combined with comprehensive wrap-around support for mothers-to-be.

      Part of this support includes helping families prepare for the future, which is why I regularly discuss newborn stem cell storage with my patients. The scientific evidence supporting the potential benefits of stem cell preservation continues to grow, and birth is the only opportunity to collect these valuable cells. I often describe it as a form of life insurance—something you hope you will never need, but may be invaluable in a time of uncertainty.
