1. Could you please provide a brief intro of your career/background?

As a bullied kid, I looked to escape the world by looking up to fantasy superheroes, which ultimately led me to become a soldier. Growing up a bit more I always wanted to help humanity and not fight it, which led me to a career in acting, using the same creative side I forged to escape the bullies and make myself strong, into my acting. As a more often than not, poorly child, I’ve always been fascinated at using science to improve and keep myself healthy.

2. Why did you decide to store your baby’s stem cells?

Following the various advancements in modern science, it was a no-brainer to give our baby the best chance in life, heaven forbid any health challenges arise, which is why the added security of a service using stem cells was an obvious choice for us.

3. Had you heard about stem cell banking before? If so, where?

I initially used a similar service for my 1st daughter nine years ago. I wish I’d come to Smart Cells before, being the leading stem cell company in the UK, as the other company has now gone out of business and I’ve unfortunately lost my 1st daughter’s precious umbilical cord blood. Doing my due diligence, I’m very happy with Smart Cells long-standing customer and business etiquette feeling very confident that my new daughter’s health is safe and protected.

4. What has your experience been like with Smart Cells, did the process work as you had expected it to? Did you find it to be an easy process?

The whole protocol from Smart Cells was extremely professional and on the day of my daughter’s birth I was obviously going 1,000,000 miles an hour not entirely taking in everything. It is for this reason I was very happy with the service I received from Smart Cells as they calmly allowed me to enjoy the day away from the pressures of the umbilical cord and blood collection. Unfortunately, we were only able to collect the umbilical cord tissue sample on the day and thankfully we have been able to store the cord tissue stem cells allowing a fantastic amount of health protection in the future.

5. Would you recommend this service to others? If so, why?

I 100% recommend using Smart Cells, as the ‘go to’ company in the UK. They are friendly and efficient, in a time when you are highly excited and potentially going to miss things. Smart Cells were able to process and store the stem cells from the cord tissue, providing a great insurance policy for my daughter.

6. What would be your advice to any parents who are looking into storing their baby’s stem cells?

It’s a no brainer! An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. And not only for your child, but potentially mummy and daddy, if they are a match, heaven forbid anything is ever needed.
